Intro to Sailing

Designed for 1st time young sailors (at least 8 years old by Program start date, or entering the 3rd grade,) who have little or no boating experience and who seek to gain self confidence in a boat. Lessons will focus on the fundamentals of sailing, naming the parts of the boat, terminology, rigging, safety, boat handling, basic knots and seamanship. Emphasis is on fun, safety and comfort in and around boats on the water. Lessons will be in N10 and Optimist dinghies with other beginning sailors.
